Edward Kenagy lived at Hubbard, Oregon, his birthplace. Most of this life was spent on the farm and at the time of this story had one-half interest in the Needy Brick and Tile Factory. He was also active in Sunday School work and as sponsor of the local Young People’s Literary Group and treasurer of the Western Mennonite School Board.
